The Holiday Island Ambassadors are a group of residents formed to represent Holiday Island at local events and activities at surrounding areas.  We are not affiliated with or funded by any specific organization, but are willing to assist all.  We will try to fill in the gap for our other organizations when they are in need of support or help when promoting Holiday Island.

Our goal is to encourage tourists and others to come to this area, to participate in any open events that occur at Holiday Island, cause awareness of the facilities, and the real estate value of the community.

What We Have Done

Since the inception of this group in the fall of 2011, we have supported the Holiday Island Chamber of Commerce and the Holiday Island Golf and Country Club in several events.

  • We attended the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce after hours “Meet and Greet” held at Keels Creek Winery.  We were well received by the Eureka Springs Chamber members.

  • We attended a training seminar conducted by Arkansas Hospitality Association.  They are promoting a program called “Welcome to Arkansas”.   This program focuses on how business and organizations can promote what Holiday Island has to offer.

  • We participated at the fall festival held in the Park of Holiday Island.  We manned a booth sponsored by the Holiday Island Chamber of Commerce where we handed out Holiday Island information.

  • During the Holiday Island open house, we collected money from participating businesses for the Chamber of Commerce Cash for Christmas project.  We also helped with selling tickets at businesses several times leading up to the open house.

  • For the Christmas parade in Eureka springs, we enlisted Holiday Island Country Club to sponsor golf carts and a group of happy volunteers to decorate them.  This group is already planning for next year.  Drivers of the golf carts as well as candy throwers were also volunteers.   These volunteers ranged in age from 13 to 75.  What a group we had.

Future Plans

In the future we are planning for several events:

  • the Chocolate Festival in Eureka Springs, sponsored by the Holiday Island Chamber
  • the car event at the Dog Wood Canyon in the spring
  • spread the Welcome to Arkansas program to business in Holiday Island.
