·Sign-up sheets with
starting times will be posted at the Clubhouse and the
Recreation Center. Starting times will change with the season
so please note the start time. Sign-up sheets will be picked up
on Monday prior to the fishing day the following Wednesday.
Only those who have signed up are assured of a fishing partner
or a fishing position.
Check in is at the courtesy dock
at the Holiday Island Marina no less than 15 minutes before the
posted start time.
Partners will be selected by a
drawing at the courtesy dock. Pre-selecting partners is
discouraged as we would like to get to know one another.
An entry fee of $2.00 will be
collected at check-in. Half of the entry fee will be used for
prize money; the other half of the fee will be used to help fund
social events.
We will fish for four hours, and
then weigh our catches at the courtesy dock. All judging of
weights will be done according to paperweight charts by one of
our officials. In order to qualify for prizes, fish must be
registered at the courtesy dock before the cutoff time, which is
precisely four hours after the start time – you must be present
in order to win.
Prize money of $5.00 will be
awarded for the biggest legal game fish (Crappie, White Bass,
Walleye, or Black Bass) of the day, as measured by paperweight.
Another $5.00 prize will be awarded for the largest total weight
of the day (there must be two or more fish). Total weight may
consist of more than one species of game fish. A fisherman can
win only one category; unclaimed prizes will be deposited in the
club general fund. At the end of the season, prize money will
be awarded in each of the four categories for the biggest fish
of the season. To be eligible for end of season prizes,
participants must fish a minimum of eight times during the year.
If a fishing event is canceled
due to weather, we will fish on the following Wednesday.
Fisherman must be male Holiday
Island Property Owners or their male guest.
All fishermen must have a current
Arkansas AND a Missouri (or Missouri Boundary Water) fishing
license.
Artificial bait only may be used
to either cast or troll.
No fishing is allowed between the
buoys coming into the Marina from the main lake and those in
Leatherwood Branch under the old bridge.
